Malibu, CA

Malibu, CA is an American teen sitcom produced by Saved by the Bell creator Peter Engel and directed by Gary Shimokawa between 1998 and 2000. The show was the epitome of a stereotypical California lifestyle.

When their mom moves to Saudi Arabia to take a new job, twins Jason and Scott move from New York City to live with their father in Malibu, California. They make new friends along the way; Murray, Traycee, Jennifer (Stads) and Samantha. The boys assimilate quickly to their new surroundings: the sun, the sand, and especially, the girls.

Famous guest appearances include Dennis Haskins, who had previously worked with Peter Engel for several years on Saved by the Bell, Scott whyte & Marissa Dyan from City Guys and model Victoria Silvstedt.

Like other shows ( Saved by the Bell , Hang time etc ) Malibu, CA  tried to mix importan relevant issues along with the madcap humour.

Malibu, CA ran for 2 seasons.

  1. The comedy timing of Saved by the Bell mixed with Baywatch style sexy swim costumes and beach scenes. It was very painfull to watch when they attempted any kind of dramatic storyline, which unfortunately they did often. Traycee couldnt act to save her life. But im sure thats not why she got the gig ;)

  4. Even as far as Teen Comedy Saved by the Bell clones goes this is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. The acting was terrible especially from that surfer dude guy Murray who was really stupid and said the wrong thing all the time. It was ‘cool’ though because he was just misunderstood and always meant well. Stupid people always have a heart of gold in these crappy shows.

  5. Crap!!! Utter crap.

    The guy on the left who was the nice but dim surfer guy was the worst thing in this show. His over doing the californian dude surfer guy voice made me cringe everytime.

    Reason for watching ? Traycee :) Smoking hot blonde, fake boobs and awesome body. Its a kids show with a chick who looks like shes just finished on a porn shoot round the corner before turning up for work.

    Still doesnt save the show though. Crap !!!
